Couples Therapy In-Person in Sandy Springs, GA and Virtually Across Georgia
Perhaps you have experienced a rupture in the relationship: a betrayal, a breach of trust, or the strain of a major life transition. Perhaps intimacy has eroded, and you aren’t sure how to talk about it or fix the problem. Or perhaps the status quo is steady, but you sense that your relationship has more depth and possibility than you are currently able to access together.
I bring to couples work a belief that most relationships contain more resilience, more warmth, and more capacity for renewal than either partner can see from inside the difficulty. My role is not to referee or to assign blame, but to help you and your partner understand the patterns that have kept you stuck, speak to one another more honestly and tenderly, and recover a sense of real partnership.
I draw on Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and the Gottman Method, two of the most extensively researched approaches in the field, and I work with couples across a wide range of concerns including communication breakdown, struggles with intimacy, interfaith or multicultural issues, family of origin relationships, and parenting partnership.
I work with couples at every stage of partnership — from those preparing for marriage to couples navigating the profound transition into retirement, and everywhere in between.
If you are curious about whether couples therapy might be right for you and your partner, I welcome you to schedule a free consultation.
